OUR STORY
TTD Detailing is owned and run by Yumen Lai. We are specialists with Innovative Automotive Detailing Solutions and PPF ( Paint Protection Film). We are also the only accredited Gtechniq detailers in the West of Scotland.
You may wonder what does TTD stand for - Tracktion Track Days. This part of the business
Yumen has run for the last nine years offering track days for all car enthusiasts, he has been
attending motorsport activities for over twenty years and racing at competition level in
various disciplines from, sprint/hill climb, super laps and door to door racing, achieving
multiple podium finishes over various championships.
From a young age Yumen has been modifying cars and in 2004 he ran his own performance
parts store for many years but due to other commitments this was put on hold. Having a passion
for anything with an engine, it wasn't long before Yumen was back providing services to fellow
enthusiasts, this includes performance parts, track car set up, sourcing performance cars, vehicle recovery and transportation. He also has an extensive background in sales and recruitment.
Meet the Team
In TTD we have Yumen (Yum) who is currently running the company and we have Eric now fully trained in the art of valeting and detailing. We both have a great passion with cars and enjoy working on them all no matter what the price tag is. In the beginning Yumen was doing this as a hobby until more and more people became aware and knew and seen the level of work completed and wanted their vehicles cared for.
Eric joined the team in March 2023, he started as a valeter and quickly progressed his way up to became a Detailer. Our standards are really high and every job is undertaken with great care and attention to detail.
We are Gtechniq Accredited Detailers and Factory Trained Xpel Paint Protection Film Installers/Window tint.
